COB style LED lights don't show the bulbs, they tend to be tighter and the light is more even and less of a dot-per bulb.  People make signs with this stuff and it is a creative, bendable art-form for some.  I used RED as a third brake light at the bottom of the rear window.

 

NOTES:

•The wiring harness was re wrapped completely and I added the extra brake light wire coming directly form the brake light switch (it is positive).

•The ground went to the back-pad light ground.

•All wires were cloth-tape wrapped and crimped, shrink-wrapped and otherwise dressed well.

•The COB light was ordered on-line for around $10.00 for 3 meters.  I used about 1/2 of it.

•The COB light has a rubber channel sitting on top of it to prevent red-glare when breaking in the rear glass.  The rubber was a C-Channel that I converted to L-Channel by trimming-off one side of it with a metal yardstick.

•The COB light and rubber L-Channel are held against the glass with strips of Kydex that were black-silicone glued into place and topped with black Gorilla Tape and then black electrical tape.

•Once the back-pad is in, it presses that even tighter against the glass.  I get no red glare at all in the daytime when using the brakes

 

Brake Light Switch - The black wire with the green stripe runs through the harness to the back-pad and then to the passenger-side glass to connect with the + of the COB light strip.  It draws under 1A and the tail-lights / brake lights are also LED to lighten the load by perhaps 80%..

With the brake light ON:  It is bright during the day and SHOUTING BRIGHT at night.

Brake light switch has the black with green stripe wire added and that runs through the harness to the passenger-side of the glass for the + side of the COB light.  You can't see it, but it is just a piggy-back connector on the switch and I tend to cover those in shrink-wrap to add some extra protection against shorts.
