The relay board plugs were dismantled so that the new sheathing could be applied.  The wire goes through the pins sideways.  Therefore, the soldering-iron tip will be used to melt the solder that you see in these images and then the wire is extracted.  Once the sheathing is replaced, then you need to re-solder the plugs again..
