The rebuild of the pedals with the bronze bushings went well.  But this got exposed to dust, grinding, etc. during the project.  it is quiet and works well.  I did spray this with contact cleaner before the pedal board went on, but it is a bit rough looking and has some red over spray on the POR15 paint.  

 

Notice the brake pedal wiring for the brake switch.  See that extra black wire with the yellow stripe... That goes to the third brake light and is wrapped into the harness.  Plan baby, plan...

 

the pedal board rebuild looked great, but with sanding, dust, etc. it got a bit dirty.  The new bronze bushings are silent and all is working great with the bronze bushing setup.  Maybe some keyboard cleaning spray to clean this up a bit, but it works and it is under-foot in terms of dirt.

 

 

 

In the image below, you see a piece of a paint stirring stick covered in tape to get the thickness of the brake pedal switch (right side of image) to factory specification.  I wedged that stir-stick behind the rubber stop and then adjusted the brake switch to the factory spec (see second image below).

 

0.156 did the job.
